I think vintage style would suit you beautifully!! I am not black but am Indian (so dark-skinned!) and have curly black hair, I am also tall although not as tall as you (5′10″) and I always wear vintage clothing!I think short floral mini dresses would look adorable on you to show off your legs. Bright colours would work fantastically with your skin tone. Rock a dress with some lace up vintage military style ankle boots – they look AWESOME!!! Also, jumpsuits would look amazing on you (it doesn’t matter if the legs come up short on these because they look cool either long or slightly shorter anyway, as long as the legs are tapered). Or shorts playsuits/romper suits would be perfect!!Check out this website that I discovered, it only launched a couple of weeks ago and their outfits are STUNNING! http://www.gigivintage.co.uk – they have some gorgeous floral dresses and playsuits/jumpsuits plus their footwear and accessories are awesome. If you’re looking for anything in particular you can email them and they do their utmost to source it for you – incredible! You can get some outfit ideas from the styled photos and also by reading the cleverly written item descriptions too, LOVE it.All the best :-) x

I would begin by looking at pawn shops and stores that sell used electronics. They are usually small businesses and you would be able to negotiate prices. If this doesn’t work, there’s always plenty of sites on the internet such as eBay and craigslist.com to search, although you might have to pay shipping. Hope this helps…

try places like goodwill, pawn shops, and antique stores – you can find sweet vintage costume jewelry at awesome prices

there are many places in the East Village like that–i dont remember specific names but E.2nd street was full of them–any cab driver knows the area and could take you there…anybody visiting nyc should definitely visit “the village” regardless of the reason, it’s one of the coolest areas of manhattan

Go for it! I love drive ins. All the drive ins i have been to in Illinois and Iowa are always packed. Its sad to see that there are not many left.

I typed “vintage pearl necklace” into the eBay search, and there were 1150 results. The vast majority were under $100. Good luck with your search!

you mean “worn out”?

Who cares? If you like it, make it work into your personal style and the clothing you pick out works for your body, then buy it.There is no reason to pay attention to fads or trends. Hell, I didn’t even know that “vintage style” was in, yet I’ve loved vintage clothing for years.

Well, you can go to this awesome, in my opinion, local vintage/indie/goth/industrial/punk shop called Secret Oktober in South Austin. I’ve shopped there many times before, and I usually go before I attend an anime con to buy whatever I need. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. And, yes, they do sell men’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and etc. Prices are pretty reasonable, and there’s that occasional item that’s over $100+, but even if they’re a bit pricey, it’s still worth it. I once bought brand new leather pants there for a cosplay, and I only paid $1, yes, one dollar. And once you get there, make sure to check out the sale rack on the sidewalk, you can find GREAT stuff on that wonderful rack in really low prices.http://www.secret-oktober.com/http://www.yelp.com/biz/secret-oktober-austinPlease, don’t be discouraged to go if you just look at what the site has to offer. It’s MUCH better to just go to the shop in person and check it out.Good Luck, and I hope you go and check it out!
